Hachinoko - Neues Simian Mobile Disco und Roman Flugel -HIER REINHÖREN-

Heute haben Simian Mobile Disco ihre neueste Kollaboration released. Erhältlich ist Hachinoko nun als Vinyl bei Juno Records und wird am 24.03. auf iTunes digital erhältlich sein. Damit setzt Simian seine Serie Delicacies fort, wobei ihre Titel immer nach exotischen Delikatessen benannt sind, wie zuletzt Tong Zi Dan,das Gericht aus China, bei welchem Eier, die vor dem kochen kurioserweise in Kinder-Urin eingelegt werden.
Bei Hachinoko handelt es sich eigentlich um ein japanisches Gericht, welches hauptsächlich aus Bienenlarven besteht und Simian hat da selber eine ganz interessante Intention hinter dem Song.

“Hachinoko” originate from Japan, and are a sweet delicacy, so perfect for our dessert – the larvae of bees or wasps, carefully harvested from their hives and cooked in sugar and soy sauce. The taste is said to be crunchy on the outside, with a gooey centre and a smoky finish... imagine, if you will, an image of dozens of tiny bee larvae, trapped in their hexagonal wax birthing cells, tapping out notes on tiny synthesiser keyboards, generating plinky electronic rhythms, over the throbbing drone of the hive’s background buzz. Before you chomp them all down."
